Aan boord waren drachtige vaarzen, mestkalveren en slachtstieren.<\/p>\n<p>We vonden opnieuw smerige watertroggen, extreem dorstige runderen die wanhopig zochten naar water en dode dieren.\u00a0Er is niet voldoende ruimte om alle dieren uit te laden dus de meeste van hen moesten urenlang in de wagens wachten in de brandende zon. In de kralen is het niet veel beter: de kralen hebben geen schaduw en de temperatuur was 38.5 graden Celcius en vochtig.\u00a0Alle dieren hadden het heet en hadden dorst. Het is eenvoudigweg niet mogelijk om elk dier genoeg water te geven ookal deden sommige chauffeurs hun uiterste best.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-19826 \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;sMiddags hadden we aan de grens een ontmoeting met de Turkse dierenarts.<br \/>\nHij bevestigde dat de opgelegde invoerbelastingen op slachtstieren in juli zal stijgen met 65%. Hij vertelde ons dat er 10.000 stieren in Hongarije wachten om direct getransporteerd te worden naar Turkije maar dat de transportondernemingen niet voldoende veewagens en chauffeurs beschikbaar hebben om hen te vervoeren.<br \/>\nHij zegt dat zij zich bewust zijn van de slechte infrastructuur bij de grens en het gebrek aan faciliteiten om goed te kunnen rusten, te drinken en te voeren binnen de grens. Alweer, werd ons verteld, zijn er plannen om uiteindelijk een goede stal te bouwen&#8230;. maar we horen al sinds 2011 over deze plannen maar er is nog nooit iets concreets gebeurd. We maakten een snelle ronde langs de veewagens die binnen de grens wachtten, in Niemandsland, en we telden er 30. Enkele Duitse veewagenchauffeurs zeiden dat zij al 9-10 uur wachtten. Plotseling werd aan ons gevraagd of we naar het hoofd van de douane wilden gaan.
