Heute Nachmittag traf sich Eyes on Animals mit der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrung des niederl\u00e4ndischen Snack-Herstellers Ad van Geloven, um \u00fcber unsere Recherche\u00a0\u2018The Cruel Reality behind horse meat in the Netherlands<\/a>‚ zu sprechen. Ihr eigenes Pr\u00fcferteam ist gerade aus Mexiko zur\u00fcckgekehrt und wir waren sehr daran interessiert von ihren \u2013 angek\u00fcndigten \u2013 Kontrollen zu h\u00f6ren. Eyes on Animals fordert den Snack-Hersteller auf, den Import von Pferdefleisch aus Latein- und Nordamerika zu stoppen, solange die Tierschutzbedingungen dort f\u00fcr Pferde in den Schlachth\u00e4usern und auf Transporten so weit unter den Europ\u00e4ischen (gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen) Standards liegen.<\/p>\n

Unser Team hat betont, dass wir aufgrund langj\u00e4hriger Erfahrung mit betr\u00fcgerischen Machenschaften und mangelnden Tierschutzkontrollen in diesen L\u00e4ndern, nicht glauben, dass sich die Situation f\u00fcr die Pferde dort in den kommenden Jahren verbessern wird. Der Direktor sagte, dass sich sein Unternehmen darum bem\u00fcht, den Tierschutz in ihren CSR Richtlinien (Lieferkette) zu sichern. Aber er wies darauf hin, dass \u201esolange der Verbraucher Pferdefleisch nachfragt\u201c er weiterhin diese Art von Snacks anbieten will. Er hat erkl\u00e4rt, dass sein Unternehmen ernsthaft erw\u00e4gt Pferdefleisch von Schlachth\u00e4usern zu beziehen in denen die Pferde nach EU-Richtlinien behandelt werden. Eyes on Animals will mit der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrung weiterhin in Kontakt bleiben und wir freuen uns sehr, dass Ad van Geloven unsere Empfehlungen ber\u00fccksichtigen will.
