Auf der Strecke befanden sich Lastwagen der irischen Unternehmen Hallissey und Hinde sowie der niederl\u00e4ndischen Firma Gebroeders Poll. Die Untersuchung zeigt die stressige 3-4-t\u00e4gige Reise und den Umgang w\u00e4hrend des Transports der jungen K\u00e4lber, wie z. B. den Verkauf in lauten Auktionsringen, das Sortieren in K\u00e4lbersammelzentren und das brutale Schlagen und Treten w\u00e4hrend der F\u00fctterungszeit an Kontrollstationen. Nach dem anstrengenden Transport mit mehreren Verst\u00f6\u00dfen gegen das Tiertransportgesetz landen die K\u00e4lber in kleinen und kargen St\u00e4llen mit hartem Holzboden, wo sie den Rest ihres kurzen Lebens verbringen. Die tats\u00e4chliche Zeit ohne Futter ist sogar noch l\u00e4nger, da die K\u00e4lber nach der F\u00fctterung auf dem Sammelzentrum einige Stunden ruhen m\u00fcssen, bevor sie auf den LKW verladen werden. Einige K\u00e4lber m\u00fcssen viele Stunden warten, bevor sie an der Kontrollstationen gef\u00fcttert werden, da mehrere Tausend gleichzeitig eintreffen. K\u00e4lber \u00fcber einen so langen Zeitraum nicht zu f\u00fcttern, verst\u00f6\u00dft gegen die Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1\/2005 des Rates, die eine F\u00fctterung nach maximal 19 Stunden vorschreibt. Dieses F\u00fctterungsintervall gilt auch f\u00fcr Fahrten mit einer Roro-F\u00e4hre, was bereits&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eyesonanimals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Time-Water-Feed-Roll-On-Roll-Off.pdf\">im Jahr 2020 durch die Europ\u00e4ische Kommission best\u00e4tigt<\/a>&nbsp;wurde.&nbsp;Nichtsdestotrotz werden diese Fahrten, die regelm\u00e4\u00dfig gegen die maximalen F\u00fctterungsintervalle versto\u00dfen, weiterhin von den irischen Beh\u00f6rden genehmigt und von der Industrie, wie z. B. der VanDrie Group, durchgef\u00fchrt.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wie alle Babys sind auch nicht entw\u00f6hnte K\u00e4lber f\u00fcr ihren N\u00e4hrstoffbedarf komplett auf Milch angewiesen und haben ein angeborenes Bed\u00fcrfnis zu s\u00e4ugen. Sie haben noch kein voll entwickeltes Immunsystem und sind dadurch sehr anf\u00e4llig f\u00fcr Krankheiten. Es ist ebenfalls ethisch inakzeptabel, Ihnen \u00fcber einen so langen Zeitraum die Milch zu entziehen. Neben Gebroeders Poll waren auch Lastwagen der niederl\u00e4ndischen Firma Drost an der illegalen Einfuhr von K\u00e4lbern aus Irland beteiligt. Hier m\u00fcssen die K\u00e4lber gem. EU Verordnung Nr. 1\/2005 gef\u00fcttert werden und 12 Stunden Ruhe bekommen.<br>Ein Arbeitsumfeld mit hohem Druck (Tausende von K\u00e4lbern, die gleichzeitig ankommen und innerhalb kurzer Zeit Milch ben\u00f6tigen) f\u00fchrt dazu, dass die Arbeiter ihren Frust an den K\u00e4lbern auslassen. Aufnahmen vom M\u00e4rz 2023 zeigen, dass die Behandlung der K\u00e4lber bei Pignet immer noch so schrecklich ist, wie es bereits in den Aufnahmen der Vorjahre aufgedeckt wurde. K\u00e4lber werden regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit St\u00f6cken und Paddeln hart auf Kopf und R\u00fccken geschlagen, sie werden getreten, umgeworfen und an ihren Beinen, Ohren und Schw\u00e4nzen geschleift. Paddel und St\u00f6cke werden oft \u00fcber Schulterh\u00f6he des Stabes angehoben, um mit mehr Kraft zu schlagen und den Schmerz der K\u00e4lber zu verst\u00e4rken. Hier werden die K\u00e4lber den Rest ihres Lebens verbringen.
