Heute Morgen hielten wir in der MBO-Schule von Aeres in Barneveld einen Vortrag \u00fcber das Wohlergehen von H\u00fchnern w\u00e4hrend des Einfangens und der aufrechten Fangmethode. Anschlie\u00dfend gab es eine lebhafte und angeregte Diskussion mit Sch\u00fclern und Lehrern. Ein Vertreter der Firma Baader (die u. a. Gefl\u00fcgeltransportbeh\u00e4lter entwirft und baut) war auch anwesend, da die Konstruktion der Beh\u00e4lter ebenfalls eine gro\u00dfe Rolle spielt und einer der Gr\u00fcnde daf\u00fcr ist, dass die H\u00fchner unter Stress oder Schmerzen leiden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Laufe des Tages beobachteten wir den praktischen Teil des Experiments, bei dem die Masth\u00e4hnchen der Aeres-Schule eingefangen und zur Schlachtung gebracht werden sollten. Heute wurden die V\u00f6gel alle aufrecht eingefangen, in Plastikbeh\u00e4lter gelegt und zum Wiegen in Schubkarren heraustransportiert (f\u00fcr ein anderes Experiment zum Thema F\u00fctterung) und dann einzeln aufrecht in die Transportbeh\u00e4lter gelegt. Wir waren sehr erfreut zu sehen, dass die V\u00f6gel immer aufrecht gehalten wurden, denn Verhaltensindikatoren f\u00fcr Angst oder Unbehagen (wie Fl\u00fcgelschlagen und Aufrichten des Kopfes) wurden nicht h\u00e4ufig beobachtet. Nat\u00fcrlich ist es nicht \u00fcblich, die V\u00f6gel zun\u00e4chst in Plastikbeh\u00e4lter mit rutschigem Boden zu legen und sie auf diese Weise zur Waage zu rollen, was beim normalen Einfangen nicht \u00fcblich ist. Dies war ein zus\u00e4tzlicher Arbeitsschritt, der den Stress erh\u00f6hen kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
