Die Klage wurde von der Organisation Wakker Dier eingereicht. Bis jetzt hat die NVWA nur Verwarnungen an Fangunternehmen ausgesprochen, die H\u00fchner an den Beinen packen und verladen. Der Richter hat entschieden, dass dies nicht ausreicht. Da die EFSA (Europ\u00e4ische Beh\u00f6rde f\u00fcr Lebensmittelsicherheit) inzwischen auch das Einfangen von H\u00fchnern in aufrechter Haltung empfiehlt, gibt es nach Ansicht des Richters keine Entschuldigung mehr, das Einfangen von H\u00fchnern an den Beinen zu tolerieren. Er forderte die NVWA auf, dieses Urteil durchzusetzen und schlug vor, den Fangbetrieben eine Frist f\u00fcr die Einf\u00fchrung alternativer Methoden zu setzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Richter verwies auf niederl\u00e4ndische Gefl\u00fcgelz\u00fcchter, die sich bereits an das Gesetz halten, indem sie die aufrechte Fangmethode anwenden. Diese Landwirte haben die Umstellung nicht zuletzt dank der Bem\u00fchungen von Eyes on Animals vollzogen. Wir haben ihnen die Vorteile f\u00fcr das Tierwohl aufgezeigt und ihre Fangbetriebe geschult, um ihnen bei der Einf\u00fchrung der aufrechten Fangmethode zu helfen und den Prozess zu \u00fcberwachen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wir sind sehr froh, dass das Einfangen von H\u00fchnern an den Beinen nun eingeschr\u00e4nkt wird. Uns ist klar, dass die Industrie nicht von heute auf morgen auf die aufrechte Fangmethode umstellen kann. Dennoch weist Eyes on Animals die Industrie seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt darauf hin, dass die Art und Weise, wie die V\u00f6gel in der kommerziellen Produktion gefangen werden (an den Beinen), inakzeptabel und illegal ist.
