Juli besuchte Eyes on Animals den Gefl\u00fcgelschlachthof Van Miert in Breukelen. Die Temperatur betrug um 11 Uhr bereits 36 Grad Celsius.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">W\u00e4hrend unserer Anwesenheit wurde ein Gefl\u00fcgeltransporter 15 Minuten lang direkt in der Sonne neben dem Schlachthof geparkt. Auch wenn dies wie eine kurze Zeit erscheinen mag, ist jede Minute in der direkten Sonne eine Minute zu viel! Wenn keine Luft durch die Container str\u00f6mt (entweder durch den Fahrtwind oder durch gro\u00dfe Industrieventilatoren), steigen die Temperaturen und die Luftfeuchtigkeit in den Gefl\u00fcgelcontainern sehr schnell an, insbesondere wenn sie in der direkten Sonne stehen. Wir sahen Tiere, die mit offenem Schnabel atmeten, w\u00e4hrend sie den Hals streckten- ein deutliches Zeichen von Hitzestress. W\u00e4hrend wir die V\u00f6gel beobachteten, stellte ein Mitarbeiter einen kleinen Ventilator neben den Lastwagen. Wir bedauern dies sehr. Da wir an unserem Ziel festhalten, die Bedingungen f\u00fcr die H\u00fchner zu verbessern, werden wir diesen Schlachthof auch weiterhin aufsuchen. Da Van Miert derzeit nicht zum Dialog bereit ist, haben wir beschlossen, unsere Empfehlungen per Post zu \u00fcbermitteln.
