Inspection and fining of a Spanish livestock transport (de Ganado) with dehydrated Romanian calves

Eyes on Animals, together with an investigator from Protection Mondiale des Animaux de Ferme, were busy inspecting trucks at the French/Spanish border. Eyes on Animals spotted a Dutch lorry from the company Busser Benekom. On board were tall Holstein cattle loaded at a cattle market in Belgium (in Brugge). Eyes on Animals dropped by the pig assembly station belonging to the Dutch transport company Neerkant to observe the loading of pigs for export. Eyes on Animals inspected the conditions for piglets on board a livestock truck from the Dutch company Schurgers, spotted in Brabant. The piglets were on their way to a fattening farm in Limburg. Eyes on Animals spent the entire night checking on national Dutch livestock trucks on the highways. Late at night we spotted a parked livestock truck from the company Vermeulen, loaded with pigs.
