This morning the EonA/AWF team visited the livestock market in Tuzla. We were told that animals would be sold today, but actually it was very quiet and most pens were empty. This afternoon the team from EonA/AWF spotted a sheep truck on the national roads east of Istanbul. The truck headed to a livestock market in Tuzla where we observed the unloading of the animals. Today the EonA/AWF team observed the slaughter of cattle in a slaughterhouse in Turkey, known to be the final destination for many EU cattle.
