   In the fall of 2013 we visited this slaughterhouse in Moeskroen and made several recommendations for improvements. The director is open and interested in animal behaviour and welfare. December 2013: Vion Groenlo slaughterhouse improves stable for “fragile/suspect” pigs

November: Employee seen poking eyeballs of animals at Yilkay slaughterhouse (TR) has been fired

When we inspected Yilkay slaughterhouse in Bursa, Turkey a few months ago, we observed the slaughterer poking his fingers deep into the eyeballs of the bulls before cutting their throat. Sow rescue action for Pinky

Pinky was destined for the slaughterhouse after having been used in an “education project' at a Dutch school.
